Harry M. Alberts has served on Federation’s Board of Directors since 2005. With first-rate expertise in mental health and youth services, Mr. Alberts offers key perspectives on social services and crisis counseling. He has worked for the State in a number of positions including stints as a Psychiatric Social Worker at Creedmoor and a Public Health Representative for the Department of Health. Mr. Alberts was also Director of the Copiague Youth Council and worked as an Emergency Child Protective Worker in the Nassau County Department of Social Services. Long before joining Federation’s Board, Mr. Alberts served as a part-time crisis counselor at the Agency. In addition, he has taught at several academic institutions including Briarcliffe College and the New York Institute of Technology, and is a licensed attorney, real estate broker and private investigator.
